Study of Prestressing Losses in Prestressed Hollow Core Slab
Abstract
Due to the complex way of verifying the prestress loss that occurs in honeycombpanels, calculators use an average estimate of this loss. The objective is to use equationswith the support of standards to verify the initial and deferred prestressing loss rates fordifferent types of slabs. Two different groups of slabs were selected for this verification, with three slabs in each group. In the case of initial prestressing losses, the first group ofslabs reached an average percentage of 6.59% and a standard deviation of 1.65%, while thesecond group averaged 5.75% and a standard deviation of 2.47%, Regarding the generalanalysis of initial prestressing losses, a total mean of 6.17% of initial loss was obtained, with a standard deviation of 1.94%. Taking into account the standard deviation, it can beconsidered that the results for initial losses were within the forecast (5%), however, forsizing purposes it would be reasonable to increase this recommendation to at least 8% ofinitial loss. For the deferred loss of 15% proposed by the literature, all the slabs analyzedwere within this percentage, proving that the percentage presented to the author meets thelosses predicted by numerical analyses.Versão do resumoeminglês, emblocoúnico.
