The use of nanostructured metal oxides as adsorbents has been widely discussed in the literature. TiO2 is an oxide easily synthesized with particle sizes on the nanoscale. In addition, TiO2 has properties that enable it to be a good adsorbent. In this work, TiO2 oxide was produced by the Oxidizing Peroxide Method (OPM) and its ability to adsorb copper(II) ions was studied. Materials with different crystalline phase compositions were
obtained and they were able to adsorb more than 90% of copper(II) ions in aqueous solution.
